What Makes These Rolls The Easiest?
When I say that this is the easiest recipe you will find on the internet on gluten-free yeast dinner rolls, I mean it.
I don't have time or the patience to buy a massive list of ingredients or follow a twenty-step recipe card.
There's just no way.
But these table rolls are amazing, not only because they are soft, and doughy, and fluffy, and moist....
BUT... they also have a shortened ingredient list (after about 20 attempts and year of trial and error!).
The directions are: gather and mix ingredients, drop into pan, allow to rise, bake!
There is no kneading, no this or that.
You don't need special chef-quality cooking skills for this baking recipe.
Just stir, scoop and drop, and the buns do the rest of the work themselves!

Gluten-Free Roll Ingredients:
- 1 ¾ cups Bless Her Heart Y'all's Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend (see recipe card below of instructions on how to mix this quick recipe together in just one minute!)
- ¼ teaspoon salt: Table salt works just fine here.
- ½ teaspoon xanthan gum: Even though there is a small amount of xanthan gum in the all-purpose flour blend, you'll want that little nit more for an extra boost of moist, doughiness!
- one 0.75 ounce package of instant/rapid yeast
- ½ cup + ⅛ cup milk of choice warmed to about 115*F: An affordable way to measure the temperature of your milk is to use a inexpensive candy thermometer to take a quick reading - check out the candy thermometer I use here.
- 5 Tablespoons butter, softened and divided: unsalted butter is best if you have it on hand. If not, use the salted - no worries!
- 1 egg, room temperature: I'll tell you how to quickly bring the egg to room-temp in the next section below!
- ¼ cup honey: you don't need to use fresh honey here, use the inexpensive stuff for this recipe.
- ¼ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Please don't confuse potato starch and potato flour.
They are two different things and will produce two different final products. You want to purchase potato starch.

If you need an alternative to tapioca flour, choose another fine flour, like cassava flour in exchange!
How to Quickly Warm the Egg Up To Room Temperature:
Take your egg and grasp it in one hand.
Place the hand with the egg under your kitchen faucet and run warm water over it.
The warmer the water, the quicker the egg will come to room temperature.
Directions:
- Combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour blend, salt, and xanthan gum in a large mixing bowl.
- Make a small hole with your finger in the middle of the flour mixture and pour the yeast into that hole.Warm the milk to around 115°F in the microwave, using a thermometer to check the temperature, usually around 45-60 seconds. Then carefully pour the warm milk over the yeast in the hole.
- Add 2 tablespoons softened butter, egg, apple cider vinegar, and honey to the bowl and mix until fully combined using your dough attachment on your mixer, about 2 minutes.
- Spray a 9 x 9 or 8 x 8 inch metal or glass baking pan with gluten-free cooking spray. Using an ice cream scoop sprayed with cooking spray, evenly place 9 dough balls into the pan. You can place cool water on a spatula and smooth down the tops of each roll if you’d like once they are in the pan.
- Cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel and allow the rolls to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Bake your rolls in the middle rack of the oven for 11-13 minutes at 400*F.
- Melt the other 3 tablespoons of butter and brush the tops of the rolls before serving.

Store your leftover dinner rolls in an airtight container or plastic storage bag at room temperature for 3-4 days
