An easy and simple gluten-free blackening spice recipe that is made in just seconds!
I was recently introduced to Free Range Katy's blog which has some amazing food on it y'all. One of her latest posts was on her blackening spice blend that she uses on a tasty flounder recipe. Sadly her blog is now gone. 🙁
But the dish looked so good that I had to try it.
I loved it, but of course, I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't change it up a bit and add some extra spice as well.
If y'all are looking for a spicy gluten-free blackening spice for your meats this summer and fall you have come to the right place.
I use it on my Blackened Flounder and on my Blackened Chicken recipes.
I even used it last week when I was running low on taco seasoning and need a little sprinkle of something else to make the taco seasoning stretch a little farther.
There's really not much that this gluten-free blackening spice can't do!

Omggg blackened chicken is the best! I didn't realize you need special spices to make it that way. I just assumed that you just cook it longer haha. Thanks for sharing this!

Yes! You can use a blackening spice for blackened chicken and fish dishes. Then you just cook the seasoned meat for the same amount of time that you normally would. Easy peasy.

Thank you for hosting the link up and for stopping in! I like tinkering around with my own spice mixes so I know exactly what is going in on my food. Plus, the blends usually turn out tasting much fresher and are easier on the wallet 🙂 I will be back this coming week to link up!

We actually tried this out last night, but we had no thyme. It was still awesome! We rubbed in on some tilapia, then put it on the grill. Turned out wonderful, thanks for the inspiration!
