Best Air Fryer Chicken Wings:
Holy moly! If you have wing lovers at home, then this is the recipe to help you get to their hearts!
This is the best air fryer chicken wing recipe ever!
Why? Well, for starters, it allows you to use frozen chicken wings. Get those wings out from the bottom of your freezer!
Secondly, it is so incredibly easy to make! All you need are your frozen chicken wings and some cooking spray!
Thirdly.... air fryer. Air fryer. Air fryer! I will show you how to make these wings in your air fryer. This means little mess, and barely any clean up- just one dish - your air fryer basket!
Numero four: It makes juicy, warm, finger-licking wings. Like - restaurant and bar quality wings!
And speaking of restaurants... let me get to number 5..... one of the biggest reasons to make this recipe... you don't even need to leave your house! Keep those sweatpants or yoga pants, or whatever your wear.... basically stay at home all comfy and everything!
Frozen Chicken Wing Ingredients:
You will need 2 simple ingredients: frozen chicken wings and cooking spray.
I didn't include any sauces or rubs because it's up to you how you would like to customize your wings!
Chicken Wing Directions:
- Place the frozen chicken wings in the bottom of the air fryer, inside the air fryer basket. Make sure that the wings are not touching each other (you may need to do your wings in two batches depending on how big your wings are!).
- Close up your air fryer and set your fryer to 400*F and cook your wings for 15 minutes.
- After the 15 minutes are up, flip your wings over using a spatula or tongs, spray lightly with cooking spray, and cook for another 10 minutes at 400*F.
- Open you air fryer, flip your wings once more, spray lightly with cooking oil, and fry at 400*F for another 7-8 minutes depending on how crispy you want your wings to turn out.
- Remove your wings from the air fryer, allow to cool 1-2 minutes before tossing in your favorite sauce or dry rub!
What Type of Airfryer To Use:
I have two air fryers that I am totally in love with!
For this recipe I like to use my OMORC Air Fryer (new model is now available) - check out my OMORC Air Fryer Review article!
I have also compiled my favorite air fryer accessories for air fryers like the OMORC brand. Life could not be easier than life with these accessories and this air fryer!
I also love another air fryer, my Ninja Foodi Grill!
Not only is it an air fryer, but it is a dehydrator, an indoor grill, a roaster, it bakes, and even dehydrates (I had to say that twice because I've always wanted a dehydrator!).
This is a wonderful air fryer and as a general small kitchen appliance, it is perfect for small kitchens or those kitchens where storage is an issue.
You can fit a bunch of small kitchen appliances into one package. If it sounds too good to be true - well I'm here to tell you that it's not.
This Ninja product is AWESOME! I've been using this for 6 months and I have no cons to report!
What Type of Sauce or Dry Rub To Use:
Anything you want! Any sauce or dry rub you can get your hands on, can go onto these chicken wings.
If you need to be gluten-free, make sure your sauces and rubs are gluten-free.
My favorite easily-accessible store-bought barbecue sauce is Sweet Baby Ray's brand.
I have also used a gluten-free buffalo sauce and a gluten-free garlic parmesan sauce for these wings that are shown in these pictures.
How To Store Leftovers and Reheat:
You can store leftover cooked wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 48 hours.
To reheat your chilled leftovers, place refrigerated chicken wings in a microwave-safe dish or plate and cover it loosely with a microwave-safe top to prevent splatter.
Microwave on high for 45-90 seconds depending on how hot you like your chicken wings. Enjoy again!
