Chili Mango Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe mango peeled and pureed
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sugar + 1 TBSP
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice plus an extra optional lemon for garnish, about 2 lemons
  • 3/4 tsp chili powder
  • ice
  • splash of hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Make the simple syrup by boiling 1/2 cup of water and 1/4 cup sugar together on the stove top until the sugar dissolves. Set aside and allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. Add in the pureed mango, the lemon juice, and water. Stir to combine.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine the 1 TBSP sugar and the chili powder together. Wet the rim of each glass with water and then twist the cup in the chili mixture. Top each cup off with ice and the lemonade.
  4. Add a splash of hot sauce to each cup before enjoying it messy!
